Aerial yoga combines acrobatic arts and anti-gravity asana, but it’s also an accessible practice that can help you find more length in your spine and safe alignment in your poses.

Xunantunich (Mayan pronunciation: [ʃunanˈtunitʃ]) is an Ancient Maya archaeological site in western Belize, about 70 miles (110 km) west of Belize City, in the Cayo District. Xunantunich is located atop a ridge above the Mopan River. It served as a Maya civic ceremonial center to the Belize Valley region in the Late and Terminal Classic periods.[2] At that time, when the region was at its peak, nearly 200,000 people lived in the Belize Valley. Xunantunich's name means "Maiden of the Rock" in the Maya language (Mopan and Yucatec combination name Xunaan (Noble lady) Tuunich (stone for sculpture)). Where is the Priestess of Power Retreat 2023?
The Priestess of Power Retreat journey begins Wednesday, JUNE 11, 2022 at the Naia Spa and Resort, located in the fishing village of Placencia in Belize, Central America.
Belize is a Caribbean country on the northeastern coast of Central America. It is bordered by Mexico to the north, the Caribbean Sea to the east, and Guatemala to the west and south. It also shares a water boundary with Honduras to the southeast.
Naia is located within the Cocoplum Resort Community, a 200-acre private reserve situated at Mile 17.5 on the Placencia Peninsula in southern Belize, just south of Maya Beach and north of Seine Bight village. Naia is a 15-minute drive from Placencia Village and its airstrip.
What about transportation to the retreat?
You only need to cover your own flight to Belize City’s Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE).
Then we will take it from there. We will book your second flight on Maya Island Air.
An adventure of its own, Maya Island Air will fly you directly from the International Airport to the local Placencia airstrip in a small 14-seater plane where you may even get to sit next to the pilot!
You’ll fly over the Caribbean Sea and the length of the peninsula, and once there, you’ll be met by a friendly driver and transported directly to the resort in our Naia group van with your retreat sisters.
What do I need to bring with me?
The weather in JUNE in Belize ranges between highs of 85° F (29° C) and evening lows of 76° F (24° C).

Priestess of Power Retreat Packing Suggestions:
- We are in walking distance to the beach, so bring your version of beachwear.
- Bring comfortable yoga clothing. Yoga mats and blocks are provided.
- Bring camp-friendly clothing with comfortable walking shoes or sneakers.
- Please also bring socks, hats, umbrellas, rain and sun gear to your comfort.
- Some may find it chilly at night as we are near the beach, so bring a jacket.
- You may want to bring, as needed: allergy medications, glasses, skin/sun protection and bug and mosquito repellent.
- It is dark on campus at night. You may wish to have a small flashlight with you.
- You also may wish to bring a water bottle.
- Please bring a notebook and writing utensils.
- Please also bring one all-white outfit, of your choosing.
- Please also bring one "goddess outfit," your interpretation, BASED ON ONE SPECIFIC GLOBAL GODDESS OF YOUR CHOICE who you will share about.
Is there WI-FI?
There is free WiFi in the public areas, although we will strive to have a disconnected from the world experience.
Are there still COVID precautions? What is Belize Travel Health Insurance?
VERY IMPORTANT: All foreign visitors to Belize (that's us!) will be required to purchase a Health/Travel insurance policy to enter the country.

The policy will cost US$18.00 per person and must be purchased online from a Belize-based insurance company or at the airport upon arrival. The coverage, up to US$50,000 for Covid-19 related expenses, is good for up to 21 days in the country and also covers travel protection if your trip must be canceled prior to embarkation.
The Naia Resort believes that this new insurance requirement will go a long way toward easing any fears our guests may have about traveling to Belize while the world deals with the current pandemic.
While nobody plans to test positive while on vacation, we all know that some things are beyond our control. The nice thing about having this insurance is that if you do test positive, you will not have to worry about paying for your extended hotel stay or any medical care that may be required until you test negative and return home.

What if I need to cancel?
The retreat is non-refundable, however, you may receive a partial credit toward future experiences, at the discretion of the retreat and resort team.
No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the arrival day; if you do not show up; or if you leave an event early for any reason. No refund will be available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or offended by its content. No credit or refund is available within 90 days prior to the retreat for any reason.
What are the retreat accommodations?
Naia Resort and Spa encompass 19 acres of secluded beachfront and lush landscapes within the private 200-acre Naia Residences on Belize’s Placencia Peninsula.
The property extends along nearly a mile of palm-studded beach, where 38 beautifully-appointed Beach Houses envelop guests in casual, residential-style luxury. At the heart of the resort lies Naia Spa, so named to reflect the free-spirited nature of the resort and the ever-present connection between land and water. This breathtaking retreat is spread over a collection of small islands dotting an enchanting freshwater lagoon where our skilled and experienced therapists work their restorative magic.
The spa also features a fully-equipped fitness center, plus a yoga and movement studio that overlooks our tranquil lagoon. This women-identified people only retreat is all about breaking out of your comfort zone, shifting your paradigm and re-calibrating who you are. Creating community and making positive, new friends is also part of the experience.
Don't let your present fears rob you of the woman you were born to become. One key part of this paradigm shifting is that the staff will treat you like royalty. Another part of the experience is that you have Goddess Partners for continued inspiration and accountability during and after the retreat.

Who can I bring with me on the Priestess of Power All-VIP Retreat?
All ethnicities and religious or spiritual backgrounds are welcome.
Either feel free to come alone and make sister-friends (most attendees come solo!) or bring people you want to grow with.
This is a no children, no pets retreat. You must be over the age of 16 to attend. There may be adult language and situations.
The program and practices at the retreat prioritize the healing and evolution of those who identify as women.
The retreat will address the guests as women and/or women-identified people and sisters interchangeably. Healing practices will also refer to the "womb chakra" and "yoni."
This is a spiritual, non-religious, non-denominational, matriarchal-based adventure, and all attendees are also personally addressed as "Goddess." The names and terms "God", "The Universe" and "Spirit" (and related) will also be used.
What if I have special health concerns, mobility issues or food challenges like allergies or sensitivities?

We are not doctors, medical practitioners, or financial advisors and everything shared at the retreat is for informational purposes only. Q: Why will there be mostly plant-based food?
A: All of the Goddess Retreats have been plant-based. In addition, a primarily vegetarian diet fulfills one of Naia's core values—sustainability. Vegetarianism consumes fewer resources and leaves a smaller carbon footprint than a heavily meat-based diet.
Q: What if I have food allergies or sensitivities?
A: If you have severe food allergies and sensitivities (peanuts, soy, dairy, etc.), you MUST let us know immediately after booking.
